I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
